The end result of an MAT in FCS comprises FCS certification (birth-12), allowing graduates to teach in comprehensive Family and Consumer Sciences programs.
In addition, FCS certification allows individuals to teach both personal finance and health education, subjects required for all Missouri high school students. The MAT in FCS affords graduate students the opportunity to study deeply within the field of education so that they can positively contribute to the education community upon graduation."
